Dreamweaver® - Connecting to and updating you Web Site on MyDrive/MyWeb

If you are a Dreamweaver user, then you will want to preserve the ability to use the publish and synchronization features that Dreamweaver offers. The methods that you use will differ between the PC and Macintosh OS.

Dreamweaver® 8.0 (PC and Macintosh)

If you have the latest version of Dreamweaver®, you can connect to MyDrive/MyWeb by specifying the MyDrive WebDav address in the Remote Info section of your Site Definition within Dreamweaver®. There are a few known issues ..... You cannot move, copy, or rename files on the remote server using Dreamweaver.

Older versions of Dreamweaver® on the PC

You can connect to MyDrive after establishing a WebDav connection to MyDrive/MyWeb using WebDrive®.
WebDrive® mounts the remote MyDrive/MyWeb folder as if it were a shared disk, you just specify that shared disk as your Remote Server in the Remote Info section of your Site Definition.

Older versions of Dreamweaver on the Macintosh

Unfortunately, you will not be able to use Dreamweaver® to connect to and update your files on the MyDrive/MyWeb server. Instead, you should download and install Secure FTP®, a software package that allows you to connect to MyDrive/MyWeb via FTPS. You can upload your site files using Secure FTP®.
