EITS OnDemand Training
anytime, anywhere information technology and security training
EITS provides several training opportunities through the
UGA Training and Development Center and other
locations on the UGA Athens campus.
Many of these classes are also offered live online and in archived versions
to accommodate learners at UGA's extended campuses and others who may not
be able to attend these training sessions in person.
Live online and archived classes are taught using
Horizon Wimba. Instructions for
using Horizon Wimba are included below.
All EITS OnDemand classes are free and open to all UGA faculty, staff, and
students.

For a current listing of archived classes, please follow the access
instructions below on how to attend an archived class. All OnDemand
classes are listed as "EITS OnDemand: Class name".
Access Instructions
How to attend a live class in person or online
In order to attend a live class or to have a record of online
attendance, you need to register with UGA Training and Development.
You do
not need to indicate your preference to attend the live class or
participate online when you register.

UGA Employee Self-Service Web site
to register and select Training and Development after login.
You do not need to register if you wish to attend online and do not wish
to have a record of your attendance.
How to attend a live class online or archived class
Live online and archived classes are accessible through Horizon Wimba.
While access to Wimba is provided free, you will need either speakers or a
headset to listen to the presentations. Please visit the Horizon Wimba
Web site in advance of any online live class to ensure your
computer is properly configured:

Click on "Participant Login" and type your name next to the "Name:" field.
You do not need a password to access Wimba, but we ask that you
use either your full name or MyID name so we know who is
interested in our classes.
Once you click "Submit" you will be asked to run the setup wizard. If
you encounter any problems the wizard cannot resolve, please call the
EITS Help Desk at (706) 542-3106 for further assistance.
Once logged in, you will see the online live class title listed in the
main lobby window. All OnDemand
classes are listed as "EITS OnDemand: Class name".
To access the archived courses, click on the "Archives" tab.
How to interact during live classes
During the presentation the slides and voice of the presenter will be
available through the Wimba classroom. If you have a question, please
feel free to type it out in the class chat. A facilitator will
ask the presenter, who will then answer your question. We do not
anticipate having your microphones active during class, so while a
headset is necessary for most Wimba courses, simply having speakers
will be sufficient for these classes.
