Element K

The University of Georgia has been offering online learning via Element K, a leading provider of online learning solutions, since September 2003. With over 27,500 enrolled learners as of October 2011, Element K has proven to be a valuable addition to the online learning environment at UGA.

Element K's online training modules offer you the flexibility to learn about various elementary to advanced topics.

The online tutorials are self-paced, and you can repeat the course as often as you like. There is plenty of hands-on interactive training with easy navigation tools, which simulate the actual application.

Learning Opportunities Include:

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Windows and Macintosh Operating Systems
  • Web Design
  • Business Skills and Soft Skills (Customer Service, Presentation Skills, Leadership)

These are examples of the hundreds of lessons available on Element K. Virtually anyone can sharpen skills or develop new ones! Pick up quick tips or learn a new application!

Log in to Start eLearning Today (in 3 easy steps)

  1. Go to the UGA portal (MyUGA): http://my.uga.edu.
  2. Log into MyUGA using your MyID and you password.
  3. Click on the "Element K" icon under "Resources."

Finding the Training You Want

You can either browse or search Element K's extensive catalog once logged in.

  • Browse the Catalog
    If you are interested in a general subject area, e.g., Business Skills and Soft Skills, position your pointer over Catalog, then Business Skills and Soft Skills, and then the specific topic area. Click to see all available courses. In the image below, the Leadership topic is selected.
  • Search the Catalog
    If you are interested in a specific topic, e.g., Microsoft Word 2007, simply type the topic name in the search box in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and press Search, as shown in the image below.

Help Accessing and Using Element K

If you are having trouble accessing Element K, contact the EITS Help Desk: 706-542-3106 / helpdesk@uga.edu. Once logged into Element K, click on the Help button for help using Element K.

Element K Usage: Terms and Conditions

Individual subscriptions to access Element K, as licensed by the University of Georgia, are granted as follows:

  • To all students, faculty, and staff at UGA with a valid UGA MyID.

Individual subscriptions to access Element K, as licensed by the University of Georgia, are removed if either of the following conditions is true:

  • The MyID is no longer valid.
  • The MyID has not accessed Element K for a period of 12 months.
