Information Technology Planning & Decision Support
Mission
IT Planning and Decision Support provides leadership in the promotion and facilitation of a
performance-based IT environment supporting EITS and other UGA IT entities.
We will collaborate and partner with IT operating units to achieve this
objective by fostering validated decision support activities; by assisting
divisions in the conversion of operational data into performance management
metrics and information; by performing assessment activities through
benchmarking and process evaluation; and by assisting in the identification
of resource capabilities used for fact-based budgeting and staffing.

LEAD, ENABLE, SUPPORT, IMPROVE
PDS strategic objectives, in keeping with the overall mission of the
division, will provide leadership and guidance to the organization by
facilitating the design and development of a performance-based IT
culture. This overall objective will be focused in four primary areas:

Enabling the organization to become a more customer focused, performance driven, and learning organization. The goal is to continually improve as an organization such that we continue to be recognized as a state and national IT leader and a organization others wish to model.

Assessment and Continuous Improvement
Using defined Industry standards, Peer/Aspirant Comparisons, best practices, and quality assurance to compare and plan the competitive deliver of UGA IT Services
