UGA Calendar Service upgrade Saturday, December 9

ATHENS, Ga.— The UGA Calendar Service, which is used by UGA faculty and staff to manage their professional calendars, schedule meetings with other participants across campus, and related tasks, will undergo an upgrade Saturday, December 9. The upgrade will take place between 8:00am and 2:00pm.

The Saturday date was chosen to ensure that the UGA Calendar Service will be operational during normal UGA business hours beginning Monday, December 11.

The UGA Calendar Service will not be available during the upgrade window. Calendar entries currently on the service will be unaffected by the change, and no action is required on the user's part to use the upgraded calendar service.

The upgrade will provide service improvements in the following areas:

  • Several improvements to the Web-based calendar, which is accessible from the UGA Calendar Service Web site (eits.uga.edu/calendar).
  • Increased support for a number of mobile devices.

For a complete description of these service improvements, please see:

UGA faculty and staff not currently using the UGA Calendar Service can create an account by following the "Create a Calendar Account" link on the Calendar Service Web site (eits.uga.edu/calendar).
