In addition, representatives of EduTech and CDW-G (the parent company) i recently presented the CIO with a plaque in recognition of her efforts. "The recognition is not about me," White notes. "It is about UGA and the acknowledgment of commitment and interest in a collaborative model for long-term planning. It recognizes the willingness to come to the table with ideas, needs, and requirements that impact or support the institution as a whole." White also says she is pleased at the "level of cooperation and collaboration" she has seen on campus concerning planning for IT. "This [EduTech] recognition further supports the Provost's initiative regarding 5-year planning and the strategic priorities as drivers for budget allocation. IT is moving toward a strong business case model for core investments, systems, services and human capital requirements through this approach. I am excited and optimistic and look forward to this next year as we begin to implement some of the outcomes of the Compact Planning process."
