bert@uga.edu MSD (Managed Software Distribution) and eMSD now providing services through the Board of Regents Office of Information and Instructional Technology ATHENS, Ga.— In early July, MSD, which has provided software distribution services for the University System of Georgia for 21 years, relocated from EITS at the University of Georgia to the Board of Regents Office of Information and Instructional Technology (OIIT). The personal software purchase component of MSD, eMSD, also relocated to OIIT.
www.msd.uga.edu and eMSD emsd.uga.edu offer general information and complete catalogs The dedicated staff at MSD have worked diligently to make this transition as transparent as possible for their UGA clients. As a part of this effort, MSD has launched the publication of an online newsletter. To subscribe to the MSD newsletter, send your name and email address to msd@uga.edu. Email: All questions regarding MSD products, with the exception of Apple, AutoDesk, Maple, Microsoft Campus Agreement Work at Home Program, Novell ALA, Trimble GPS, and VMware, should be directed to MSD. These products are now being handled by OCIO/EITS IT Contracts and Licensing Administration (ITCLA).
