bert@uga.edu Microsoft Education Roadmap presentation and Webcast set for March 27 ATHENS, Ga.— Enterprise Information Technology Services has arranged a Microsoft Education Roadmap presentation on March 27, 2008, 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., in Masters Hall at the Georgia Center.
The presentation is designed to help higher education clients learn about the significant product developments occurring throughout the Microsoft family of solutions and how to better prepare for their deployment. There is no registration required for this free event, so please join us on March 27 for this very important presentation. To accommodate interested parties at UGA extended campuses and other University System of Georgia institutions, we have arranged a Webcast of the event. Microsoft Education Roadmap and Vision (from Microsoft) This presentation provides a 30,000 foot view of the Microsoft Product Portfolio and how it is evolving over the next 3 - 5 years. Microsoft has come a long way in the breadth of its product line and made significant strides in the realms of security and interoperability. All major product families will be covered in desktop, server, and service platforms. Product workloads and plans will be framed in major release waves: Longhorn and Seven. From a technology perspective, this session will cover Client, Server, Information Worker/Anywhere Collaboration (Office System), Dynamic System Initiative (management), Forefront, .NET Application Platform, Software + Services, and Trustworthy Computing.
