UGA students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to program UGAAlert into their phones

ATHENS, Ga.— UGAAlert, the emergency mass notification system for the UGA campus, requests that UGA students, faculty, and staff with a valid MyID program the UGAAlert number (706 542-0111) into their cell phones to more easily identify UGAAlert as the source of the call.

"If every man, woman and child on campus would program 706 542-0111 into their phone as UGA Alert," says Pete Golden, Emergency Operations Coordinator, UGA Office of Security and Emergency Preparedness, "it would benefit everyone."
