UGAMail users encouraged to check junk mail folders frequently for legitimate email

ATHENS, Ga.— The EITS Help Desk has received an increase in calls regarding email from Gmail, Facebook, Yahoo, and other popular sites being sent to junk mail folders. It has been determined that emails from these sites are receiving higher-than-normal spam scores, thus sending the emails to junk mail folders.

All UGAMail users are encouraged to check their junk mail folders frequently. EITS is working closely with UGA's email vendor to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Important Note: Email sent to junk mail folders is automatically deleted after 9 days. All UGAMail users should check their junk mail folders as soon as possible.
