EITS Communications Officer publishes article in EDUCAUSE Quarterly

ATHENS, Ga.— An article written by Albert "Bert" DeSimone, Jr., EITS Communications Officer, has been published in EDUCAUSE Quarterly.

Titled "Rethinking the IT Core," the opinion piece focuses on IT organizational alignment as it relates to the core function of the academic enterprise -- teaching and learning.

"I am honored to have my article appear in such a prestigious publication," said DeSimone. "So far, the article has generated some interesting discussion and debate, and I hope that continues."

EDUCAUSE Quarterly is an online, peer-reviewed, practitioner's journal from EDUCAUSE about managing and using information resources in higher education. EQ publishes materials that relate to planning, developing, managing, using, and evaluating information resources in higher education. Information resources encompass technology, services, and information.
