New version of Collaborate available in eLC

Monday, August 22, 2016

A new, more modern Blackboard Collaborate platform, called Collaborate Ultra, is now available for use in eLearning Commons (eLC), the University’s learning management system.

Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, a web-conferencing tool available to instructors, runs completely in web browsers and does not require users to download or install a launcher.

The new Ultra platform also features a more modern interface, improved audio and video quality, and the option to upload and store content in advance of your session.

Users will have the option to select Collaborate Ultra or Collaborate Classic from the Tools menu after they log in to eLC. Users will still be able to access and download their archived content in Collaborate Classic through the end of the fall semester.

For more information about accessing Collaborate Ultra through eLC, visit the Center for Teaching and Learning website.
