A Wireless Communications Devices Approval System was implemented on July 1, 2005. In addition to approving cellular phones and services, the system includes approval for pagers, radios, internet service providers and all wireless communications devices

Georgia Technology Authority WCD contracts may be reviewed at the Wireless Communications Devices and Services page. These contracts should be used for purchasing WCD devices.

ONLY Departmental Telephone Representatives will have the ability to initiate WCD Approval System request. Submit your WCD information to your Departmental Telephone Representative for processing. If you do not know the name of your Departmental Telephone Representative, contact UGA Telephone Services at 706-542-6962.
