UGAMail Webmail system updated

The Webmail login page for UGAMail, previously hosted on the main Web server, (www.uga.edu), was moved to a distributed group of Web servers that provide redundant access to Webmail. The move took place October 13, 2008.

When the UGAMail login page was relocated, the UGAMail Webmail brand was updated. There are some minor functionality changes as noted below.


Error Message "Page has expired. Please try again"

If you attempt to login to UGAMail after the page has been idle for a few minutes you will get the error message
"Page has expired. Please try again." Enter your MyID and Password again to login.

Error Message "External content has been blocked..."

When viewing messages in UGAMail Webmail, messages that contain html content like images will have that content blocked by default. To show all content of an individual message, click on the "Show Content" link above the header of the message.

You can change your UGAMail Webmail Preferences to "Show external content immediately."

Signature Options (changed behavior)

From UGAMail Webmail select PREFERENCES, then type your signature in the signature box, then click "OK" at the bottom of the Preferences page.

If you want to include the signature with every message, select the radio button beside "Yes." If you want the option to choose which messages include the signature, then select the radio button beside "No."

If you selected "No," then you'll have the option in the Compose window to click the "Insert Signature" button. The signature is inserted wherever your cursor is located in the message text.
