Ally for eLC
Overview
As part of UGA’s efforts to comply with the new federal digital accessibility policy, EITS will turn on Ally for eLC in October 2025. Ally for eLC is an accessibility tool integrated into the eLC learning management system. Its main purpose is to help institutions, instructors and students improve the accessibility of course content.
Project Details
Ally for eLC will be integrated into eLC and introduced to instructors for use in October 2025. Instructors should use the remainder of the Fall semester to become acclimated with the tool and begin addressing accessibility concerns in their course materials. During the spring 2026 semester, instructors must make their content accessible by the April 24, 2026 federal deadline. Beginning with Summer 2026 courses, all new instructional materials and any materials that will be reused from previous courses must be developed in compliance with the federal rule.
