Dr. Guy Cormier
Director of Research Computing
Guy Cormier, Ph.D., is the Director of Research Computing. He oversees the resource management and staff operations of the university’s high-performance computing infrastructure, which supports data-intensive and computational research across disciplines. A key part of his role is collaborating with faculty and campus leadership to ensure the Georgia Advanced Computing Resource Center (GACRC) aligns with UGA’s evolving research priorities. Guy has been with UGA and EITS for 13 years and brings more than 30 years of experience in the field. He holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and completed four years of post-doctoral work in computational sciences, bringing deep expertise to his leadership in advanced research computing.
