Ilir Hasko
Deputy CIO and Chief Technology Officer
Ilir Hasko serves as the Deputy Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer, providing strategic leadership for infrastructure, systems and network engineering, web and mobile technologies, student information systems, and identity and access management. With more than two decades of experience in enterprise IT and 17 years of experience at the University of Georgia, Ilir has led major initiatives to enhance the student digital experience, modernize enterprise system architecture, and strengthen UGA’s data management strategy through improved tools, practices, and governance. He is also actively advancing the university’s exploration of artificial intelligence.
In addition to his leadership responsibilities, Ilir has served as an adjunct instructor in the Terry College of Business, teaching Systems Analysis and Design, and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree focused on adaptive IT leadership in complex environments.
Beyond his professional work, Ilir considers himself a global citizen who enjoys traveling, experiencing new cultures, and spending time outdoors—whether swimming, skiing or hiking.
