PAWS-Secure change may require action

Tuesday, August 9, 2016

Security upgrades to the PAWS-Secure wireless network will be made that may require users to accept a new encryption certificate on their devices accessing PAWS-Secure.

The new security certificate will take effect on Tuesday, August 9, at 5:30 p.m.

After that, when users attempt to access PAWS-Secure when they’re on campus, their device(s) may ask them to approve the new security certificate. This would apply to phones, tablets and laptops attempting to access PAWS-Secure.

Depending on their device, users may need to reconfigure the network settings in order to access PAWS-Secure. In most cases, users will simply be asked to approve the new security certificate or may not be prompted.

The EITS Help Desk website is available to help users configure their device for PAWS-Secure, if needed.
