UGA visitors without a valid MyID may access a guest wireless network while on campus.
There are currently two options for guest wireless access:
Instructions for these guest wireless networks are available on the EITS Help Desk website.
EITS is piloting a new self-service guest wireless network called UGA-Visitors WiFi during Summer 2017.
Users must provide their first and last name and a valid email address to receive a username and temporary password in order to log in to the network. Users then can change their password to something of their choice, as long as it's at least 10 characters long with a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, special characters and/or numbers.
The username and password is valid for five days, after which users must re-register to access UGA-Visitors WiFi.
A Qualtrics survey on the pilot is available. All feedback regarding UGA-Visitors WiFi is appreciated and encouraged.
The Welcome to UGA wireless guest network is available for users who are unable to access UGA-Visitors WiFi.
To receive a username and password to log on to Welcome to UGA, users must contact the EITS Help Desk at 706-542-3106.
UGA students, faculty and staff with a valid MyID should use the PAWS-Secure or eduroam wireless networks. Guest wireless networks provide basic Internet access and limit access to certain UGA-provided resources.
