Teams Phone
EITS is now offering Teams Phone, a cloud-based next-generation phone system provided by Microsoft. Teams Phone will eventually replace the current UGA Telephone System.
Teams Phone allows UGA employees to communicate and collaborate anytime, anywhere with an internet connection, on any device, including laptops, mobile devices, and tablets. Teams Phone is accessible through a free desktop application on a computer and a free mobile app on an iOS or Android device. Physical handsets can also be purchased if needed.
Teams Phone integrates seamlessly with the Microsoft applications on your devices. You can seamlessly transition from a chat or a document collaboration session to a voice or video call without switching applications. Teams Phone also offers features such as transcription services, voicemail to email, and more.
