Meet the Vice President for Information Technology
The vice president for information technology (VPIT), reporting directly to the Provost, is the university’s highest ranking technology executive. Responsible for the implementation and accessibility of information technology and systems, the VPIT is also a key contributor to the technology vision for UGA, where IT touches every aspect of the educational process.
VPIT Dr. Timothy M. Chester provides the thought-leadership and tactical perspectives necessary to guide the university in developing effective IT. He also implements, through the Enterprise Information Technology Services, EITS, the university’s strategic goals in academics, research, and outreach.
