MyUGA Portal redesign coming July 26
Friday, July 19, 2013
The MyUGA Portal, a single website for accessing key web-based services and information at the University of Georgia, will get a fresh look on July 26.
MyUGA is a gateway for accessing OASIS, UGAMail, eLearning Commons (eLC and eLC-new), Skillsoft, lynda.com, Student Accounts, Parking Services, DegreeWorks and more web-based services at the University. Students, faculty and staff login with their UGA MyID and password to access those services on the portal.
“The MyUGA Portal is a one-stop spot that allows visitors to save time accessing some of the most popular web-based services at the University by going to just one website,” said David Crouch, director of the EITS web and mobile technology group.
The portal also contains current news from UGA Today and events on the UGA Master Calendar.
For visitors to the MyUGA Portal, the changes are primarily visual, as the site has been redesigned to look similar to other websites supported by the University’s Enterprise Information Technology Services (EITS).
Most of the services featured on the existing portal will be available in the redesigned MyUGA Portal. However, the new portal won’t include customizable features. Few visitors to the existing portal customize their preferences.
In future versions of the MyUGA Portal, visitors will be able to access the new student information system that will replace OASIS to register for classes and check grades.
