If you use UGA’s Remote Access Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access University systems, you will soon begin to receive notices each time you log in.
Beginning October 17, users logging into the Remote Access Virtual Private Network, or VPN, will receive a brief notice to their UGAMail each time they log in. This new process is intended to minimize fraudulent log-ins to the VPN.
The notice will include the user’s MyID and the time they logged into the VPN.
If you have logged into the VPN, you do not have to do anything once you receive the notice.
If you have not logged into the VPN and receive an email notice, your account may be compromised. In that case, you should contact UGA’s Office of Information Security at email@example.com. You will be asked to provide information in the email notice from the VPN log-in session.
