The UGA MyID is the sign-on name that students, faculty, and staff use to access a
wide range of online services at UGA. To establish your MyID, contact your department's human resources personnel.
Each MyID has a password associated with it that needs to be supplied when accessing
these services. You can change your password or request a new one if you forget it.
Forget your MyID password? If you've completed the MyID Profile forgotten password service, you can reset it online without contacting the EITS Help Desk. If you didn't complete your MyID Profile when you set up your MyID password, you
will be required to do so next time you reset your password.
Your UGA ID number is used instead of your Social Security number to access personal
data. It usually begins with 810 or 811 and can be found on the back of your UGACard.
If you have lost your UGACard, contact the UGACard office.
It is important to choose a strong MyID password that fits UGA's password security requirements, and keep it secure.
MyID passwords expire every six months. You will receive an email reminder prior to
your password's expiration advising you to change your MyID password.
Never share your MyID password with anyone. UGA will never send you an email asking for your password. There are several ways
to spot an email phishing scam, and when in doubt about an email you've received, contact the EITS Help Desk.
