Getting Connected

Wireless Networks

  • PAWS-Secure is the secure wireless gateway to the Internet while on campus. All UGA faculty, staff and students with a MyID should have access to PAWS-Secure. Sign in on your device with your MyID and password.
  • eduroam is a free wireless service that allows all UGA students, faculty and staff to get wireless service when visiting participating eduroam institutions in the U.S. and abroad. It is available throughout most of the UGA campus with the exception of residence halls. To access eduroam, UGA students, faculty and staff must provide their full UGA credentials with their MyID followed by “@uga.edu” (example: YourMyID@uga.edu).

Wired Connections

Buildings on campus include access to UGA's wired network, which requires devices to be connected via an Ethernet cable. In specific buildings on campus, you may access the wired network through a self-registration service called Device Registration Portal (DRP).

To report problems with your wired connection, contact your departmental IT professional.
