GoToMeeting
On June 30, 2020, the UGA license of GoTo Meeting will expire. The University is no longer renewing this license as given the adoption of the use of the Zoom teleconferencing platform. Zoom is the recommended replacement for GoTo Meeting on campus and is available to you free of charge. For more information, visit zoom.uga.edu.
For UGA departments looking for an affordable web conferencing tool for administrative purposes, the University offers GoToMeeting on a cost recovery basis. GoToMeeting allows users to join or conduct online meetings from their desktops or mobile devices. Features include video conferencing, VoIP or telephone audio, and collaboration tools to share desktop screens among meetings attendees. GoToMeeting has a free mobile app for iPad, iPhone and Android devices.
UGA's license with Citrix includes several GoToMeeting products that allow participants to invite anywhere from one to 3,000 people to join their online meeting, webinar or training session.
Faculty, Staff and IT Professionals
GoToMeeting has three products/features that are included per seat.
- GoToMeeting Corporate - up to 150 attendees
- GoToTraining Plus - up to 200 attendees
- GoToWebinar Plus - up to 1,000 attendees, or up to 3,000 using only Webcast
Faculty and staff may use this software for administrative purposes.
