WebEx licensing is no longer available and will not be renewed for FY15.

Instead, GoToMeeting or Zoom (see below) is available as a web conferencing tool for interested University departments for administrative purposes. GoToMeeting is available on a cost recovery basis. Zoom is Enterprise.

 

GoToMeeting is available to UGA departments for administrative purposes on a cost recovery basis. GoToMeeting allows users to join or conduct online meetings from their desktops or mobile devices. It features video conferencing, VoIP or telephone audio, and collaboration tools to share desktop screens among meeting attendees. UGA’s license with Citrix includes three products in one bundle — GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar and GoToTraining. These products allow participants to invite anywhere from one to 1,000 people to join their online meeting, webinar or training session. Blackboard Collaborate is also available as a web conferencing option for instructional purposes. 

FY15 annual fee for each GoToMeeting license is $299.

Zoom is available to all UGA departments at no cost.  Zoom allows for video or audio conferencing from desktops or mobile devices.  It features video conferencing, VOIP or telephone audio, collaboration tools to share desktop screens among meeting attendees, as well as permissioned desktop control.  All users will have a PRO account allowing for up to 100 attendees in a meeting.  There are also integrations for Outlook and other programs available at Zoom's website.  Additional products include: Webinars, Meeting Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and Room Connectors giving increased functionality on a Cost Recovery Basis.
