How do I access and purchase Adobe Creative Cloud?

  • Many computer labs on campus offer free access to Adobe CC software.
  • Students may also check out a license to use Adobe CC software on their personal computer through our Tech Lending program. Licenses can be checked out for 4 weeks and can be renewed. Check out a license here.

Faculty and Staff

Contact your departmental IT professional for access and pricing. Each department has a Technical Contact Lead for Adobe CC to manage their users and to provide support.

If your department is not currently using Adobe, please contact your departmental IT support for information.

Installations are allowed on the unit's institutionally owned computers in labs, classrooms and departmental office machines. Contact your Departmental IT professional for access.

If you wish to have a named user account for Adobe CC software, you must be an active faculty or staff member or an actively employed graduate student in a participating unit

Named users must be reported in a department or unit's FTE count and must have a valid UGA email address. A maximum of two installations is allowed. One installation may be on a personal computer for work-at-home purposes.

Named user accounts are not permitted for students, retirees, retire rehires and most affiliates.

Student workers and retire rehires must use a serialized installation on a UGA-owned or shared computer. Installations on personal computers or a named user installation on a UGA-owned computer is not permitted.

IT Professionals

Adobe CC is a cost recovery service through EITS Contracts and Licensing. The current contract term began 7/1/23 and ends 6/30/2026. Participating departments and units can be found here.

IT staff for new departments and units wanting to join the program may submit a request via ticket here.  For questions regarding joining, email contact EITS Contracts & Licensing. Email itcla@uga.edu.

Your unit will be charged annually based on the UGA Data Warehouse reported full-time equivalency (FTE) count of their unit. Individual departments may be rolled up into larger units or colleges for better pricing. The cost covers all FTE reported faculty and staff in the department.

Participating departments and units agree to continue participation until the end of the current agreement on June 30, 2026.

MOUs are generated annually with service dates of July 1 - June 30.

One IT Technical Contact Lead is assigned per unit. This position works directly with EITS Contracts & Licensing, and may assign other admin permissions to their support staff in the portal.

Technical Contact Leads are added to the Adobe Portal once the signed MOUs are received by EITS. Access is immediate upon initial portal set up and downloads may begin.

There is a limit of the number of Leads allowed, so slots are reserved for central IT units. The Technical Contact Lead and Administrators are also responsible for setting up groups for your department and keeping named users current in the portal.

Users are audited intermittently and non-UGA accounts will be deleted when found as this is a violation of the agreement. Continued misuse may result in Technical Lead permissions being reviewed by Unit or Department Heads and EITS Contracts & Licensing. Any audit findings and penalties are the department's responsibility.

Installations are allowed on the unit's institutionally owned computers in labs, classrooms and departmental office machines. Contact your Departmental IT professional for access.

Check their user type. It should be listed as Adobe ID. If their user type is listed as Enterprise, contact Contracts and Licensing at itcla@uga.edu.

Their account will be deleted, and your unit's IT Technical Contact will have to add them back into the portal as the correct user type.

Contact Contracts and Licensing at itcla@uga.edu. We will delete the user from the portal. The IT Technical Contact for your department or unit will have to add them back to the portal.
